Leadership Coaching: One-on-One Acceleration
One-on-one coaching discussions designed
to target specific areas of potential development. All coaching is
conducted by Kirk Hardcastle, LeaderScope president.
I work with each manager to assess, diagnose, identify and intervene
in areas directly related to leadership effectiveness. The
goal is to assist individual managers in developing the specific
mindset for the most effective capacities of leadership and
management. Discussions are confidential, as trust is essential to
managers having the willingness, ability and opportunity to realign
thinking (and therefore behavior).
I do not do "prescriptive" coaching, but
rather work with managers to shine a light on specific situations
they encounter that present critical learning opportunities. I
provide concrete thinking tools that advance effectiveness in THREE
key areas of managerial accountability:
1) Developing articulated strategic plans for seizing opportunity.
2) Driving greater business results through gaining cooperation and
contribution from others (which is just as important as through
individual specialist/technical contributions).
3) Leading others to grow, develop and contribute more.
My approach is unique for each individual, since each person has a unique set of experience and capabilities, and therefore a unique set of skills, knowledge, learning needs and opportunities.
- BACKGROUND
I have been an executive coach for more than 20 years, working with senior managers in all walks of life, all over the world. This, in addition to working one-on-one with literally thousands of business leaders has enabled me to develop a systematic method for accelerating individual executive growth.
- FREQUENCY
I ask that we meet once or twice monthly as a baseline, with additional meetings when needed. We don't always get to decide when leadership challenges will come our way, so I am always available "on call" to provide support. Participants are encouraged to engage me at any time, not just according to a pre-set schedule. People usually don't get to decide when growth opportunities will present themselves, or when support might be helpful.
- PROCESS AND FEE
I engage participants to provide real-time leadership performance and process feedback by providing insight that directly addresses the challenges participants are facing. Also included is all additional support: interviews, assessments, monitoring/reporting, materials, books/articles/readings, "homework" assignments, and review/feedback on any management or leadership activities and documents (emails, agendas, plans, communications, etc.). I tailor the coaching to each individual, focusing specifically on areas of developmental need. This requires considerable "behind-the-scenes" thinking and planning. Executive Coaching Fee: $2500/month
The coaching relationship creates a
safe learning environment where participants can seek insights that safely
challenge assumptions and accelerate development of
new leadership capacities.
Ultimately, business results depend on our people, particularly on a
company's leadership bench strength. Essential to this is learning to think differently
about leadership roles and functions.
This new thinking is one of the
critical levers that truly yields strategic, tactical and
organizational success.
